Objectives and competences
Student will:
• Know how to choose the appropriate statistical test among the tests used during the course.
• Know how to use the appropriate test to analyse the data.
• Be able to compare and critically evaluate the results from her/his and other already published studies.
• Be able to evaluate the significance of ethical questions and determine whether a proposed study needs to be assessed by the ethical committee.

• Designing quantitative research studies and collecting data in quantitative research.
• Design and testing hypotheses.
• Univariate, bivariate and multivariate inferential statistical methods.
• Sampling in quantitative research.
• Visualization of results in quantitative research.
• Interpreting and reporting results in quantitative research.
• Research ethics.
