Objectives and competences
• To recognize the appropriate music literature
• to analyse the music note text in a conducting manner
• to fortify the technical conducting elements
• to lead the polyphony
• to play some more difficult vocal scores on piano in a manner of playing scores on piano.
• to fortify and continue singing technques
• to recognize the composers of this era
• to get to know the manner in harmonical and melodical meaning
• to develop style and interpretation.
Content (Syllabus outline)
• introducing coral works of slovene composers for three or more voices,
• fortifying the already aquired technical knowledge of conducting,
• inscribtion and conducting the »conductor's voice«,
• conducting the polyphony,
• playing scores on the piano,
• continuation of singing techniques,
• works written by Slovene »reading society«,
• recognizing composers,
• specialties in harmony,
• style interpretation.
Learning and teaching methods
• Group and individual work, preparation to work with the choir,
• role-playing games,
• group singing.
Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
Knowledge and understanding:
On completion of the course of choir conducting the student will be able:
• to use the acquired knowledge and manual skilfulness to conduct the choir,
• to combine theoretical and practical knowledge,
• to analyse and evaluate works of domestic composers,
• to conduct rehearsal and performance of the youth choir.

• self-dependency in leading one's own hands

Prerequisits
There are no prerequisits for entering the subject.
Additional information on implementation and assessment 80% attendance of tutorial is required to take the exam.
Prerequisite for the exam is homework submitted on time.
• Colloquium:
- Choir (20%),
- vocal technique (10%).
• Examination:
- Conducting (70%).
