Content (Syllabus outline)
• works by foreign composers in renaissance

• conducting specialties,
• the difference between one or more choirs,
• connection with instruments,
• playing the scores on the piano,
• fortify and expand the singing techniques,
• style,
• connection of lyrics and music,

• painting with tones,
• beat, tempo and dynamics,
• some specialties in harmony and counterpoint,
• interpretation.
Learning and teaching methods
• Group and individual – working with small vocal groups,
• role-playing games,
• group singing.
Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
• the student is capable to perform the period of renaissance in purity of style
• mastering the style and technical demands of conducting
• getting knowledge in playing heavier renaissance works
• the students will be capable to perform renaissance works in agreement with recognized artistic rules
Intended learning outcomes - transferable/key skills and other attributes
Transferable/Key skills and other attributes:
• the student has expanded the knowledge of conducting movements and the demands of interpretations
• he is capable to play much more difficult works containing many voices on the piano– with the help of harmonization
• manner in renaissance singing
• other manners in singing
• transport of knowledge in school and other activities.

There are no prerequisits for entering the subject.
Additional information on implementation and assessment • Colloquium:
- Choir (20%),
- vocal technique (10%).
• Examination:
- Conducting (70%).
