• They recognize the easy works of romantic period and learn main demands in conducting and in the interpretation
• they can play romantic scores on the piano
• they can play choir piano accompaniment
• fortify singing techniques
• to analyze modern vocal music from abroad
• to learn how to express and to perform contemporary music
• to recognize and to hear all harmonic and other specialties of these era
• to use the written singing effects

Content (Syllabus outline)
• Recognizing vocal scores of contemporary Slovene composers
• amelioration and spreading of the knowledge in singing techniques
• contemporary vocal music from abroad
• acquaintance of the harmonic and composital specialties
• diversity in form
• text in foreign language
• pronunciation in foreign language and its specialties
• diversity in vowels
• connection between word and music
• word and musical interpretation.
Learning and teaching methods
• Group and individual work, preparation to work with the choir,
• role-playing games,
• group singing.
Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
On completion of this course the student will be able to:
• harmonize works, play them on the piano andbe able to get the complete sound image of work and explain it,
• list the most important representatives and works of this period,
• clearly approach to foreign contemporary vocal music,
• interpret and value contemporary music,
• present contemporary music,
• transfer the knowledge to primary school and into other educational processes,
• make program for a concert of contemporary vocal music and argue it.

Prerequisits
There are no prerequisits for entering the subject.
Additional information on implementation and assessment Method (written or oral exam, coursework, project):
80% attendance of tutorial is required to take the exam.
Prerequisite for the exam is homework submitted on time.

- vocal technique (10%).
• Examination:
- conducting (70%).
