Objectives and competences

The objective of the subject is to develop an analytical command over musical notation in the compositional and formative sense as well as understanding and gaining practical command in music for ensembles.

Content (Syllabus outline)

Performing compositions by domestic and foreign authors of many music genres of different musical periods.

Learning and teaching methods

• Practical team work with lesson planing. • Listen and critically evaluate recordings and concerts.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

On completion of this course the student will be able to • Use the acquired knowledge in performing ensemble music. • Link theoretical and practical knowledge.

Intended learning outcomes - transferable/key skills and other attributes

• Solving problems: The ability to understand and perform musical contents in ensemble music. • Communicational skills: The ability and vocal - instrumental expression in the process of teaching and later professional career.

Prerequisits

The practical exam is conducted as a performance on a musical instrument as performing compositions for instrumental ensembles.
