Objectives and competences
The objective of the subject is:
• to develop an analytical command over musical notation in the compositional and formative sense,
• to gain practical command in chamber music,
• to acknowledge and understand the history of instumental music,
• to develop the analitical listening, recognition and evaluation of the individual musical works.
Content (Syllabus outline)
• Playing instrumental compositions regarding the level of previous knowledge.
• Playing compositions from renaissance and early baroque period.
• Playing compositions from baroque period.
• Playing compositions from classical period.
• The proper technique of playing.
• Qualifying for group music performances.
• Further study and development of instrumental techniques through the process of creating an interpretation.
• History of the Western-European instrumental music.

On completion of this course the student will be able to:
• use the acquired knowledge in performing chamber music.

• know the most important representatives and works of a period.

Prerequisite for attending the exam:
Mandatory activity in the study process,
successful completion of the exercises in the study
process in accordance with the corrections of the professor.
