Objectives and competences

The objective of the subject is to develop an analytical command over musical notation in the compositional and formative sense as well as understanding and gaining practical command over instrumental skills.

Content (Syllabus outline)

• Playing compositions regarding the level of previous knowledge. • Getting to know compositions by national and foreign composers. • The proper technique of playing. • Qualifying for individual music performances. • Nurturing the musical style. • Qualifying for individual music performances. • Nurturing the musical recollection. • The development of technical and musical elements and interaction of them with aural-esthetical processes. • Further study and development of instrumental techniques through the process of creating an interpretation.

Learning and teaching methods

• Practical work with lesson planing. • Teaching through modern technology.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

On completion of this course the student will be able to. • Use the acquired knowledge in performing intermediate complicated musical works. • Undestanding processes and metods of practicing. • Link theoretical and practical knowledge. Transferable/Key skills and other attributes: • Solving problems: the ability to understand and perform musical contents. • Communicational skills. The abbility of music expression in the process of teaching and later professional career.

Solving problems: the ability to understand and perform musical contents and form different harmonic accompaniments on the guitar. Communicational skills. The abbility and instrumental expression in the primary process of teaching and later professional career.
