Objectives and competences
The objective of this course is to reveal the importance of playing Orff musical instruments and to enable for teaching different music topics.
Content (Syllabus outline)
• Development of the technics of playing one’s own, odd and Orff musical instruments
• Creating and performing obstinate rhythmic melodic patterns
• Performing music didactic plays to review the playing techniques with Orff instruments and to review and learn different music terms
• Performing different composition, arranged for Orff musical instruments and didactics procedures at learning them
• Research of sound effect and sound colours of Orff music instruments and their use at accompanying fairy-tales
• Performing demanding chamber music on Orff instruments.
• Use of Orff instruments in chamber music groups with other instruments
• Arranging music for Orff instruments.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
On completion of this course the student will be able to
• prove knowledge on different techniques of playing Orff musical instruments,
• understand the importance of playing Orff musical instruments for development of rhythm, melodic and other music skills,
• select and create music topics for Orff musical instruments – for students of different ages, abilities and musical background.

• Communication skills: music expression, public performance.
• Team work: solving joint task in pairs and minor groups.
• Problem solving: the ability to solve music pedagogic problems in different contexts.
