Objectives and competences
• Profounding of knowledges of compositional practice, basing on harmonic way of forming musical material with special accent on harmonic style of the 18. century.
• Making students familiar with individual creative work conected with teaching praxis and with ability for understanding and analysis of works of the classical period, with a special accent of the implementation of the theory of functionality.
• Ability to transferr the knowledge and principles of compositional techniques from the past periods into the field of modern harmonic attitudes.
• Ability analyse the use of matheria and ability to take responsibility by transferring his gained knowledges into the environment.
Content (Syllabus outline)
• Student will be acquainted with basic principles of chromaticism and developed tonality, with the use of subfunctions.
• He improves his knowledge through Riemann`s functions, and special views of chromatical and enharmonical modulations.
• Harmonisations of soprano, alto, tenor and bass.
• Transfer of knowledges into praxis through writing of original miniatures in strict and contemporary compositional technique.
• Ear training of basical harmonical functiuons and cadences in the way of a motivation to analyse the use of matheria and ability to take responsibility by transferring his gained knowledges into the environment.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
On completion of this course the student will be able to:
• Use the acquired knowledge in executing less complicated compositional skills.
• Link theoretical and practical knowledge.

Solving problems: the ability to understand and losing compositional tasks. Ability and will for a kind communication with environment and taking responsibility.
