Objectives and competences
- Familiarise students with various theories and practices related to the subject of the course,
- mastering the principles of and the utilization of basic and more complex ceramic techniques,
- mastering the design of ceramic surfaces and their treatment with glaze.
Content (Syllabus outline)
- Acquaintance with and analysis of ceramic artworks and their authors, with emphasis on contemporary works,
- acquiring the knowledge of the principles of basic and more complex ceramic techniques and developing the skills of their use,
- individual creation of ceramic works,
- final exhibition.
The contents will be supplemented according to guest lecturers and will be adjusted to the student's intentions.

- Knowledge and understanding of important artists and their artworks that relate to the subject of the course,
- ability of critical analysis and presentation of selected theoretical treatises and works of art,
- the student acquires mastery of the principles of using basic and more complex techniques in ceramics,
- develops and upgrades the feeling for material, form, space and aesthetics.

Prerequisits
There are no specific prerequisites.
Minimum 80% attendance at tutorials and successfully completed exercises during the study process, which are in accordance with the corrections provided by the professor, are obligatory for the accession to the exam.
