Objectives and competences

• acquaint the students with the structure of kinesiology of sporty talented children; • acquaint the students with the meaning and the role of child’s competitive sport; • learn the students how to use basic research methods which are useful for accommodating and valuing sport results.

Content (Syllabus outline)

• Sport talented child as a challenge; • The structure of kinesiologic space for children; • Influence of morphologic features on the kinesiologic and functional capabilities; • Role of sport in child’s development; • Burdens of children during the exercises; • Planing the work with sporty talented children (Preparation of the program, Accommodation of exercises, Valuing the results); • Early forms of competitive sports; • Advantages and disadvantages of competitive sports for children.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

• detect sporty talented children; • prepare the practice program for sporty talented children; • knowing the basic research methods; • knowing how to observe, test and value the sensory, kinesiologic and functional capabilities of children; • orient the children into practising in sport fields suitable for them.

Intended learning outcomes - transferable/key skills and other attributes

• being acquainted with the basics of statistics and methodology; • being acquainted with the kinesilogic structure of children; • accuracy and consistence when performing measure procedure.

Prerequisits

Every part of the exam must be evaluated positively. Conditions for admission to the verbal exam: • Active participation in tutorial • 100% compulsory participation in tutorial • positive assessment of seminar paper
