Objectives and competences

• to acquaint students with up-to-date research in the field of monitoring and assessment of children’s motor development • to acquaint students’ to use basic research methods required for monitoring and assessment of kinesiometric data • to enable students for autonomous work in the field of monitoring and assessment of children’s motor development

Content (Syllabus outline)

• characteristics of child’s development as a foundation of the child’s whole and motor progress • analysis of the child's motor efficiency • kinesiometry in childhood • research methods in kinesiology • specifics in motor development as a means of differentiation and inclusion of motor talented children and children with disabilities in motor development • guidance of children in sport practice

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

Knowledge and understanding: • Applying of basic research methods in kinesiology; • Observing, testing and evaluating of motor development; • Preparing motor programme in accordance with motor development; • Accuracy and consistency in measurement methods.
