Objectives and competences
• To acquaint students with up-to-date research in the field of monitoring and assessment of children’s motor development;
• To acquaint students to use basic research methods required for monitoring and assessment of kinesiometric data;
• To enable students for autonomous work in the field of monitoring and assessment of children’s motor development.
Content (Syllabus outline)
• Characteristics of child’s development as a foundation of the child’s whole and motor progress;
• Analysis of the child's motor efficiency;
• Kinesiometry in childhood;
• Research methods in kinesiology;
• Specifics in motor development as a means of differentiation and inclusion of motor talented children and children with disabilities in motor development;
• Guidance of children in sport practice.
Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
Knowledge and understanding:
• Applying of basic research methods in kinesiology;
• Observing, testing and evaluating of motor development;
• Preparing motor programme in accordance with motor development;
• Accuracy and consistency in measurement methods.
