Objectives and competences
The aim of this course is to expose students to the process of real engineering design and manufacture, which gives them the opportunity to use existing knowledge and skills to design, design, manufacture, test and market a complex product - Formula Student that meets defined functional requirements.
Content (Syllabus outline)
Formula Student includes the design, manufacture and testing of a car according to the rules of the international Formula Student competition, where you will build the entire racing vehicle together with other students in the group. Each member of the team works within a specific part of the project, which in addition to the engineering parts also includes other very important parts, such as project promotion (PR), economics and organization and project management.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
• Design a system, component or process that will meet certain functional needs and other criteria such as size, strength, durability, accuracy, efficiency.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team composed of engineering professionals from several engineering disciplines and non-engineering disciplines such as business, marketing and public relations to develop, present and market a product that meets the needs of the target market.
• Use tools and techniques to manage project schedules, track progress against milestones, distribute tasks among team members.
• Conduct structured meetings
• Communicate in writing and orally in the professional and business world by preparing appropriate technical and non-technical documents and presenting them.

Prerequisits
It is a prerequisite that the student consults with the coordinator of the Formula Student project, defining his contribution to the project.
