Objectives and competences

Student will be able to: • use innovative learning and teaching technologies using digital content: extended reality (augmented reality, mixed reality, virtual reality), • discuss about environmental impact on human health, • use hand hygiene procedures in a hospital environment, • properly handle healthcare waste, • discuss about access to sufficient and safe drinking water and safe food, • interpret the impact of air pollution on human health, • discuss about global environmental problems: climate change, population growth, developing countries.

Content (Syllabus outline)

Presentation and use of innovative learning and teaching technologies using digital content: extended reality (augmented reality, mixed reality, virtual reality). Digital learning materials will be prepared to deliver content such as: • environmental impact on human health, • hand hygiene in the hospital environment, • handling of healthcare waste, • access to sufficient and safe drinking water and safe food, • the impact of air pollution on human health. • global environmental problems: climate change, population growth, developing countries.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

On completion of this course the student will be able to: • explain innovative learning and teaching technologies using digital content: extended reality (augmented reality, mixed reality, virtual reality), • explain environmental impact on human health, • explain hand hygiene procedures in a hospital environment, • explain procedures for managing waste from healthcare, • critically evaluate access to sufficient and safe drinking water and safe food, • critically assess the impact of air pollution on human health. • explain global environmental problems: climate change, population growth, developing countries.
