Objectives and competences
• To awake one’s musical creating with singing, to bring better knowledge and spread the artistic horizon in the sphere of music,
• to qualify the singing organ,
• to develop the voice,
• to express the text,
• to join text and music.
Content (Syllabus outline)
• choir singing of different ways and eras,
• singing Slovene (and foreign) folk songs,
• singing artificial Slovene and foreign works – renaissance, baroque, romantic and contemporary- with consideration about the choice of compositions for a big choir.
Vocal training:
• exercises for the diaphragm,
• warming up,
• vowel equalizing,
• register equalizing,
• exercises for voice volumenizing.
Learning and teaching methods
• group work,
• role-playing games,
• disscusion.
Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
• the singer in choir gets some knowledge in singing techniques and recognizes different music works and types,
• link theoretical and practical knowledge,
• each singer can extend his/her own knowledge in school’s choral singing or in his own town’s choir.
