Content (Syllabus outline)
• Legal requirements to start and for the performance of a business for each individual legal organizational forms of economic entities.
• Prerequisites for performing a gainful activity.
• Formation of the company’s name, choice of registered office and activities.
• The legal consequences and sanctions in case of offering an unauthorized trade or in the case of violating business and trade regulations.
• Choosing between sole proprietorship and limited liability company.
• The importance of unlimited liability for business obligations.
• The importance of share capital in a limited liability company.
• The enforcement of the business and trade law.
• Basics of financial management.
Learning and teaching methods
• lectures,
• seminars,
• tutorials. Part of the tutorial is in a classroom while the rest is in the form of e-learning (e-tutorials may be given via video-conferencing or with the help of specially designed e-material in a virtual electronic learning environment),
• individual work.
Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
• Distinguishing the basic legal organizational forms of economic entities and the legal basis for starting and exercising of their gainful activity.
• Knowledge of the basic legal requirements and risks faced by economic entities.
• Understanding of the importance of legally compliant operations.
• Understanding of most important legal provisions to which they must pay special attention in practice in entrepreneurship.
