Objectives and competences

- Practical execution of individual elements of the sport discipline. - Raising awareness of the values of sport and, through this, influencing the formation of positive attitudes towards sport and towards a healthy lifestyle. - Eliminating and preventing the consequences of lack of exercise and a care for improving psychophysical abilities, enhancing health. - Acquiring knowledge of the basic techniques of judo, jujitsu, falling techniques, self-defense, strengthening the muscles of the whole organism. - Mastering side and hand throws. - Mastering techniques of self-defense. - Developing lasting exercise habits in everyday life. - The use of acquired skills in everyday life and to compensate negative effects of one-sided workloads over the course of the study. - Using the acquired knowledge to ensure better quality of life and greater efficiency in studying. - Understanding the impact of exercise on health and well-being, understanding how the body responds to physical effort and adapts to different forms of exercise, knowing the risk factors in everyday life.

Content (Syllabus outline)

The theoretical contents refer to: - a healthy lifestyle, - the importance of a proper diet, - the specifics of the sport discipline (an overview of the evolution and progress of judo, the importance of engaging in judo ). The practical contents refer to: - the importance of knowing Judo, - developing moral values and ethical principles, - the basic techniquess of falling, fighting positions, throws and blocks, - learning the principles of maximum effect, relaxation, leverage, evasion.

Learning and teaching methods

The following methods and forms of teaching will be used in the program: • the method of explanation and discussion (lectures), • the method of demonstration. Forms: • frontal learning, • individual learning, • group learning.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

Knowledge and Understanding: The student: - knows the theory of active rest and different methods for regenerating the body; - understands the theory and describes one's own practical experience.; - uses literature in one's mother tongue and foreign languages, uses didactic tools; - identifies and solves problems as they arise; - demonstrates basic techniquess of falling, fighting positions, throws and blocks; - demonstrates the principles of maximum effect, relaxation, leverage and evasion, - describes the ethical principles and moral values of judo.

Prerequisits

An adequate level of psychophysical abilities. Ability to overcome subjective efforts at a long-term load.
