Applicants for Enrolment with Special Needs or Special Status

During the application and admission procedure for enrolment in 1st-cycle and 2nd-cycle study programmes, candidates may apply for a status of a candidate with special needs or status of a candidate with special status on the basis of which they can be added to the list of candidates admitted post-deadline. However, they must nonetheless meet the admission requirements laid down in the accredited study programme and achieve at least 90% of the required score.

Candidates apply for the status by individual application, which must be accompanied by relevant supporting documents proving:
  • Special needs that arose by the end of secondary school (application for enrolment in 1st-cycle and integrated master's study programmes) or by the end of their previous study (application for enrolment in 2nd-cycle study programmes). Candidates with special needs are blind or partially sighted candidates or candidates with a visual impairment, deaf and hard of hearing candidates, candidates with speech impairments, candidates with deficits in individual learning areas, candidates with reduced mobility, candidates with a long-term illness, candidates with autism spectrum disorders and candidates with emotional and behavioural disorders.
  • Special status that proves the status of a categorised athlete or coach, recognised artist, or other candidate participating in international competitions, or a candidate - parent until the start of their child's compulsory schooling. Special status is taken into consideration if it existed in the period considered for admission.

What do I need to know if applying under the Call for Enrolment in Undergraduate and Integrated Master's Study Programmes?

  • How to apply for the status: Candidates apply for the status of an enrolment candidate with special needs and status of an enrolment candidate with special status upon the submission of their enrolment application, in which they must indicate that they wish to apply for the status (this should be specified when completing the enrolment application under the section “Verification of data on previous higher education", where they should answer YES to the fourth statement which reads: “I wish to apply for the status of a candidate with special needs and special status"), or after the submission of their enrolment application on the eVŠ web portal. The application for enrolment must be accompanied by an individual application and supporting documents. Deadlines for applying for the status and other documentation are determined by the Call for Enrolment.
  • How do I benefit from the status: Candidates with the status of an enrolment candidate with special needs and status of an enrolment candidate with special status who in the first-round application period meet the general conditions for enrolment in the study programme and were not admitted during the regular selection procedure to any of their chosen study programmes will subsequently be placed on the list of admitted candidates if they have attained at least 90% of the minimum number of points required for enrolment.
