Slovene or English language proficiency as an admission requirement and submission of certificates

Dear candidates,

​Because of the current situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Maribor decided that foreigners enrolling in the 2021/22 academic year are allowed to submit proof of Slovene language proficiency to the chosen UM faculty by the time they meet the conditions for advancement to the second year of study regardless of the requirements set in the accredited enrolment conditions.

 

The decision does not apply to candidates for enrolment in study programmes in the field of Slovene language and literature. They must submit the proof during the application and enrolment procedure in accordance with the application and enrolment procedure deadlines.

 

Candidates joining the parallel implementation of study programmes in English may also submit proof of language proficiency by the time they advance to the second year of study.

 

Foreign students required to submit the proof of Slovene language proficiency as an admission requirement for enrolment in one-year teacher-training study programmes are allowed to submit the proof of Slovene language proficiency by the time they enter practical training in schools.
