For the study, research and art work, development of extracurricular activities as well as sports and cultural achievements, awards and recognitions are given to the best students each year.

​​The UM awards students for their extraordinary study, research or art work, sports and cultural achievements, development of extracurricular activities etc., namel​​y the following: 

  • The Rector’s Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement of University of Maribor Students in Their Enrolment Cohort,
  • the Andrej Perlah Award for Outstanding Individual Research and Artistic Achievements of University of Maribor Students,
  • the Andrej Perlah Commendation for Research, Artistic, Professional and Development Activities of Groups of University of Maribor Students,
  • the Leon Štukelj Awards for the Most Distinguished Sporting Achievements of University of Maribor Students,
  • a Charter for Exceptional Contribution to the Development of Extracurricular Activities at the University of Maribor,
  • a Charter for Significant Cultural Achievements of University of Maribor Students,
  • a Charter for the University of Maribor Student Volunteer of the Year,
